4 To remove the right magazine, grasp the handle at the front of
the magazine and slide it forward and out of the library.

The method for removing the magazines differs depending on
whether the L100 library is powered up or down:
• To remove a magazine from the L100 library when it is
powered up, see Removing a Magazine when the L100 Library
is Powered Up.
• To remove a magazine from the L100 library when it is
powered down, see Removing a Magazine when the L100
Library is Powered Down.

The magazines are locked in place during normal library
operation. To remove one of these magazines, you must first
release the magazine using the GUI.
To remove a magazine when the library is powered up:
1 On the main screen, press Mags.
The GUI displays the
Release Magazines screen (see figure 26).
